South Florida Interfaith Worker Justice: This is the local branch of the national Interfaith Worker Justice movement; an interfaith body dedicated to working for justice for the marginalized, the “working poor” (a category which should not even exist in our land of plenty), and the immigrant communities. St. Stephen’s Art & Craft Show: What began 20 years ago as a hot dog stand on church property during the Coconut Grove Arts Festival has long been considered a nationally important show in its own right, and is consistently ranked among the top 50 art shows in the country by Sunshine Artist Magazine. GLBT Families Support Group: Meets monthly for support and fellowship. Contact Teresa Frontado.
Casserole Brigade: This team brings food to those who are home from the hospital, have experienced a death or birth in the family, or just need an occasional meal. Contact Rev'd Jo-Ann Murphy.
T.R.U.E Fund: On the second Sunday of each month funds are collected to assist those in need in the local community. For more information, contact Ann Strickland.
Episcopal Church Women (ECW) St. Barbara's chapter of the ECW provides various programs and services. Lively monthly meetings focus on women, particularly female saints, their lives and works, their relationship to the church, their impact on history, and how they are depicted in works of art. The ECW also functions as a prayer group, stays in touch with the bereaved and those who are sick, encourages charitable giving through efforts such as the United THank Offering, and sponsors cultural outreach activities, including film screenings. Choirs: St. Stephen's has an adult choir, which rehearses on Thursday evenings at 7:30 and Sunday mornings at 9:30, and a children's choir (first grade and up), which rehearses after the 10:30 am Mass on three Sundays each month. All Grove Crime Watch: Residents from all parts of Coconut Grove gather on the 3rd Wednesday of each month to ensure the safety of our community. For more information contact Robert Loupo.
Alcoholics Anonymous: An AA group (open only to men) meets in the Great Hall every Tuesday evening at 7:00 p.m.
Narcotics Anonymous: An NA group (open to all) meets every Monday night at 7:00 p.m. in the Great Hall.
